Day Camp Counselors: Spend your summer outside sharing the love of Christ with kids while leading elementary age campers through exciting activities such as swimming, hiking, rock wall, crafts, drama, chapel sessions and more! Counselors are responsible for camper safety and engagement.
Jr. Counselors (age 15.5-17) starting pay $12/hr
Sr. Counselors (age 18+) starting pay $13.50/hr
Lifeguards: We are seeking certified lifeguards (or those willing to get certified) to help keep our campers and staff safe at the waterfront. This job can be in conjunction with other positions. Must be 16 or older.
Maintenance Staff: Working alongside our maintenance director, these staff members will be responsible for cleaning and maintenance of facilities. Tasks may include, but are not limited to, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and vacuuming indoor spaces, yard maintenance and making light repairs. Must be 16 or older. Pay begins at $10 per hour.
Beach Ambassador: Spend your day at the beach! The beach ambassador will monitor the beach, process beach passes and help ensure a clean and safe environment for all guests. Must be 18 or older.
After-School Camp Coordinator: The coordinator will plan all activities for After-School camp including Bible lessons. They will manage staff and oversee time sheets and budget. They will create a menu and provide a healthy snack to campers each day. The coordinator will be responsible for camper and employee safety at Camp Fireside. They must understand and follow all policies and procedures of Camp Fireside and work alongside upper management to ensure a safe and successful program. The coordinator will communicate directly with parents and guardians of campers in a professional and appropriate manner, and they may also be required to answer phone calls and emails. They must maintain the facilities and provide a clean and safe environment. They will be responsible for coordinating a response in the event of an emergency.
Expected Hours: 25 per week, 1-6 pm Mon-Fri Expected Pay: $18 per hour
After-School Camp Assistant: Camp Assistants will run program alongside the Coordinator. Activities may include free play, sports, crafts, homework help, games and more. Camp Assistants will be trained and expected to respond in case of an emergency. They will be responsible for submitting accurate time sheets each week. Camp Assistants will help with snack prep and cleaning.
Expected Hours: <20 per week, 2:30 – 6 pm Mon-Fri Expected Pay: $12 per hour
STAFF MEMBERS RECEIVE FIRST AID/CPR CERTIFICATION, AVERT TRAINING AND MINISTRY SAFE CERTIFICATION. SOME STAFF MAY RECEIVE AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION.
